About Us

Calistoga Cares Food Bank was formed over 10 years ago by founding members Helen Archord, John Strasser and numerous other members of the Calistoga community. We are an all-volunteer community based organization serving the needs of food insecure families on a bi-monthly basis.

For several decades, the “Green Church”, now Brannon Center, located at 3rd and Washington Streets served as our base of operations. But with the advent of the COVID19 pandemic, we went from serving 20 to 30 families, to over 600 within a month’s time. With this growth we moved to our current location on North Oak Street. From that base, we continue to serve over 300 families twice monthly. Nobody is turned away, although we do require recipients to register for their first time through the pickup.

The Food Bank is presently located at the Tubbs Building at the Napa County Fairgrounds on North Oak Street in Calistoga.

Our Mission Statement:
To address and serve those members of the Calistoga community and greater Napa Valley who require regular food assistance.

Calistoga Cares Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
